ADC Elects Engr Enyi Victor Izuchukwu As Consensus Candidate For Igbo-Etiti West Assembly Seat

ENUGU, NIGERIA – The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has elected Hon. Engr. Enyi Victor Izuchukwu as its consensus candidate for the Igbo-Etiti West Constituency seat in the Enugu State House of Assembly, following a party agreement reached by stakeholders and delegates ahead of the upcoming elections.

The decision was reached after consultations within the party structure, where leaders and key stakeholders unanimously agreed on Izuchukwu’s candidature to represent the party in the constituency election.

The African Democratic Congress described the selection process as a move aimed at strengthening internal unity, reducing post-primary disputes, and presenting a strong front ahead of the general election.

Following the announcement, supporters in Igbo-Etiti West took to the streets in celebration, chanting party slogans and expressing confidence that the consensus choice would deliver electoral victory for the constituency.

Supporters Celebrate Consensus Victory

Residents across communities in Igbo-Etiti West were seen celebrating the decision, describing it as a “collective victory” that reflects unity within the party.

Community stakeholders also expressed optimism that the decision would improve the party’s chances in the constituency.

Izuchukwu Speaks After Consensus Selection

Speaking with DDM correspondents shortly after his emergence in Enugu, Izuchukwu thanked party leaders, delegates, and stakeholders for the confidence reposed in him.

He said he accepted the consensus mandate with humility and a strong commitment to serve the people of Igbo-Etiti West.

“I appreciate the confidence shown in me by our party leaders and stakeholders,” he said. “This is a collective decision, and I will not betray the trust placed on me.”

He pledged to run a people-driven campaign focused on development, accountability, and inclusive representation.

Campaign Promises

Izuchukwu promised to prioritise youth empowerment, infrastructure development, improved education support, and access to basic social services if elected into office.

He also stated that he would engage grassroots stakeholders continuously to ensure that governance reflects the needs of the people.

According to him, his ambition is driven by a desire to bring “real, visible development” to Igbo-Etiti West.
