The Igbodike Movement has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his swift action in evacuating 258 Nigerian citizens from South Africa and facilitating the transfer of 98 Nigerian citizens jailed in Ethiopia.
The group in a statement issued by it’s National Coordinator, Dr Peter Nwankwo said this proactive step not only demonstrates Tinubu’s commitment to the welfare of all Nigerian citizens but also highlights his leadership and compassion towards those in need.
“It is noteworthy that a significant number of the individuals being rescued and transferred back to Nigeria are of Igbo descent. The Igbodike Movement recognizes and appreciates President Tinubu’s efforts in ensuring the safety and well-being of our brothers and sisters who may have been facing challenges in foreign countries.
“As a leader who prioritizes the protection of all Nigerians, President Tinubu has proven himself to be a unifying figure who transcends ethnic and regional divides. His actions in rescuing and supporting Nigerians in distress further underscore his dedication to serving the interests of all citizens, regardless of their background.
“In light of these commendable initiatives, the Igbodike Movement calls on Ndigbo and all Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and support his bid for a second term in office. His inclusive approach and unwavering commitment to the welfare of all Nigerians make him a deserving candidate for re-election. Let us continue to stand united in support of a leader who has shown that he is indeed a father to all Nigerians” the statement reads.
