Two armed robbers wey don dey terrorize Atim Edem Rise and Efio Okoho neighborhoods for Calabar South LGA for Cross River State, dem kill am violently yesterday October 28, 2024 by angry youths.

According to report, dem no fit get di names of di suspects wen dis report dey come out.

Eyewitnesses come confirm say both of dem dey live for di same neighborhoods.

One eyewitness, Reuben Akabom, talk say for early morning of Tuesday, one young man, wey no pass 35 years, say dem catch am while e dey burgle one house for Efio Okoho neighborhood.

Luck no come dey for him side dis time, as di residents wey don dey terrorize, wey don tire for him constant robberies, come fit overpower am, according to residents.

“Dem drag am go Efio Okoho junction for front of one private hotel.”

“Dem beat di robber well-well, and dem bring condemned tyres, wia dem say dem burn am.”

Reporter reach wen dem dey carry him burnt body go, maybe to bury am for one place wey dem no go talk.

Anoda criminal

Anoda incident happen on Saturday for Atim Edem Rise Street, no far from Ibesikpo Road Calabar.

Di oda suspect too na known criminal wey dey rob and intimidate residents, dey put fear for dem.

One youth leader wey give him name as Inyang Ekpenyong explain say wen dem catch di robber and overpower am, dem use di same machete wey e take rob take chop am.

On Sunday, one Obong Ete, wey be landlord for Waddel Lane near Mbukpa Road wey dey known for dey steal from him tenants and neighbors.

Reacting, di PRO of di state police command, Irene Ugbo, caution against jungle justice, come dey advise say all suspects suppose always dey handed ova to police for proper interrogation and prosecution.
