Armed Robbers Attack Abuja Hotel, Kill DJ, Rob Guests

A devastating incident occurred in the early hours of Saturday, June 15, 2024, when a gang of armed robbers raided Volcano Hotel in the Gwarinpa area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.

The robbers stormed the nightclub within the hotel, killing a disc jockey, Bashiru Dauda, and robbing guests of their valuables and personal belongings.

According to eyewitnesses, the robbers took advantage of the late-night revelry to carry out their nefarious act, leaving a trail of terror and panic in their wake.

A resident of the area, who identified himself as Sani, described the incident as one of the many armed robbery incidents that have become rampant in Gwarinpa.

The FCT Police Command confirmed the incident, stating that they received a distress call and immediately deployed operatives to the scene.

Unfortunately, the victim, Bashiru Dauda, was found shot and rushed to Jabi hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The police have launched an investigation into the incident and are working to apprehend the culprits. The FCT Police Command has urged residents to be vigilant and report any suspicious activities to the authorities immediately.
