Human rights advocate Harrison Gwamnishu has sparked reactions online following his comments on protests and Nigeria’s political landscape.
In a recent statement, Gwamnishu expressed his belief that protests would not lead to the removal of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu from office.
“Protests cannot and will not remove Tinubu from office. It’s not possible. Tinubu cannot leave office even in 2027. If Nigerians like, they can protest from now till tomorrow, he’s going nowhere,” he said.
He further stated that he would no longer participate in protests in the country, signaling a shift in his personal stance on civic engagement.
“I’m not joining any protest again in this country,” he added.
