Edo South PDP Senatorial Candidate Seeks Unity Among Party Members

BENIN CITY, Edo State — The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) senatorial candidate for Edo South, Don-Pax Osifo, has called for unity among party members to secure victory in the 2027 elections, emphasising the need for a cohesive front to address key issues including insecurity and infrastructure development.

Osifo made the appeal during a stakeholders’ meeting in Benin City, where he addressed party leaders, supporters, and community representatives. He stressed that the PDP must put aside internal differences and work together to present a formidable challenge to opposing parties in the upcoming elections.

The senatorial candidate acknowledged that there had been tensions within the party but expressed optimism that these could be resolved through dialogue and a shared commitment to the party’s goals. Osifo identified insecurity and infrastructure as major challenges facing the senatorial district, pledging to prioritise these issues if elected. He called on party members to support his campaign and to work tirelessly to ensure that the PDP reclaims the Edo South seat.
