Tiwatope Omolara Savage aka Tiwa Savage has blasted the fanbase of her colleague, Ayodeji Balogun (WizKid), describing them as bullies.

Afro pop act Ruger had released his new song ‘Toma Toma’ featuring Tiwa Savage today, November 15.

Sharing the song on her Instagram page, Tiwa Savage wrote, “Told y’all this one is special. The @rugerofficial called and I answered.”

In her comment section, some of Wizkid’s fans mocked her for releasing a song on the same day as Wizkid.

One of the fans @standardwears1 wrote, “Dey play, nothing special pass Wizzy hits.”

Reacting to the comment, Tiwa Savage tagged them bullies, saying, “Because I am promoting music? WTF. Y’all are not fans anymore, you guys are actual bullies.”

The songstress is the latest artiste to be at odds with Wizkid’s fans, who have continued to pick up fights with other Nigerian singers over who is the biggest.

Previous collaborations

Tiwa Savage and Wizkid, two of Nigeria’s most prominent music artists, have collaborated on several projects over the years.

One notable collaboration is “Bad,” a song from Wizkid’s 2015 album “Ayo (Joy),” which features Tiwa Savage. Another successful collaboration is “Ma Lo,” a song from Tiwa Savage’s 2017 album “Sugarcane,” which features Wizkid.

Their partnership extends beyond these notable tracks. They also collaborated on “Fever,” a sultry, sensual jam initially leaked in 2018 and later included on Wizkid’s “Made in Lagos” album.

Additional collaborations include “Shoutout” from Tiwa Savage’s debut album “Once Upon a Time” (2011) and “African Bad Girl” from Wizkid’s “Soundman Vol. 1” EP (2019).

Notably, his rivalry with Davido has been a subject of discussion, with both artists trading insults on social media and releasing diss tracks.

Wizkid has also had public fallouts with Tuface Idibia, stemming from perceived disrespect, and Banky W, his former manager, over contract disputes and royalties.

Additionally, he has clashed with Skales, a former signee to his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment (EME), and Tinie Tempah, a British-Nigerian artist, over song ownership and royalties.
