Dakota Johnson has given Taylor Swift fans an answer they may not want to hear about the singer’s highly private wedding to Travis Kelce, saying she does not expect photographs from the ceremony to ever be released.
Johnson made the revelation during an appearance on BBC Radio 1 with Greg James, who was also among the guests at Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Discussing the ceremony, Johnson described the celebration as “so fun” and said it felt like everything Swift had dreamed of.
“It was so like… everything she’s dreamed of. It just felt so completely her,” Johnson said.
James then asked the question many Swifties have been waiting to have answered: whether Johnson believed any photographs from inside the wedding would eventually emerge.
Johnson’s response was brief.
“No,” she replied.
The actress’s comment has renewed interest in the extraordinary level of privacy surrounding the wedding. Swift and Kelce reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests to the celebration, but attendees were not permitted to bring their phones inside, helping keep images from the event away from social media.
Despite the secrecy, several guests have spoken publicly about the celebration, giving fans small glimpses into the occasion without revealing photographs from inside.
Johnson’s comments are particularly notable because of her close friendship with Swift. The pair have remained friends for years, and Johnson recently appeared alongside Colin Farrell in Swift’s “Patient Zero” music video, which premiered at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.
Speaking about the project during the same BBC Radio 1 interview, Johnson described Swift as a close friend with whom she talks about “everything,” including their shared interest in true crime.
She praised Swift’s creativity and said the singer’s imagination was particularly impressive when it came to building the world of the music video.
Johnson also said she was happy to accept Swift’s invitation to appear in the project because, as she put it, “she’s the most fun.”
Swift has also publicly praised Johnson. When the actress was included on TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026 list, Swift wrote a profile about her friend and described her as genuine and deeply empathetic.
Their friendship has continued to attract attention, particularly with Johnson appearing in Swift’s latest visual project and the two women being photographed together at the 2026 MTV VMAs.
For Swift’s fans, however, the biggest takeaway from Johnson’s latest interview remains her blunt prediction about the wedding pictures.
Almost three months after Swift and Kelce exchanged vows, fans are still waiting for an official glimpse inside their celebration. Based on Johnson’s answer, that wait may continue for a very long time.
