Several members of the All Progressives Congress from Benue State were seriously injured on Saturday morning when the bus carrying them to the party’s rally in Lafia, Nasarawa State, collided head-on with another vehicle.
Diaspora Digital Media gathered that the accident occurred in Lafia, a few kilometres from the rally venue.
The number of those injured was not known as of the time of filing this report.
They were, however, said to have been taken to hospitals in the Nasarawa State capital for treatment.
The State Publicity Secretary of the Austin Agada faction of the party, Dan-Morgan Ihomun, confirmed the incident and said no life was lost.
“The accident happened in Lafia and it involved two vehicles. But there was no loss of life.
Those who sustained injuries have been rushed to the hospital,” he said.
The crash comes months after a similar accident involving Benue APC delegates who were travelling to Lafia for a party events.
