Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) reported a pre-tax profit of N1.01 trillion for the nine months ended September 30, 2026, despite a slight decline in revenue.

The figure represents a 0.41% decrease from the N1.015 trillion recorded in the corresponding period of 2025, according to the group’s unaudited financial statements filed with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).

The bank’s revenue also fell by 0.61% to N2.69 trillion from N2.71 trillion a year earlier, reflecting a marginal slowdown in its overall earnings.

Despite the year-on-year decline in its nine-month performance, Ecobank recorded an 8.13% increase in third-quarter earnings, indicating an improvement in its performance during the period.

The results highlight the group’s ability to maintain pre-tax profit above the N1 trillion mark amid a slight reduction in revenue.

Investors will be watching the bank’s subsequent results for signs of stronger revenue growth and sustained profitability as the financial year progresses.
