Tinubu's SSA: ‘Cock and bull story,’ - Ajayi reacts after Badenoch shared how Nigerian police stole her brother's shoe

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Temitope Ajayi has reacted to Kemi Badenoch’s story of how Nigerian Police stole her brother’s shoe and watch, saying it is a “Cock and bull story.”

As gathered by the Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Ajayi, on Monday, reacted to the story on his X formerly Twitter page.

He wrote: “You are a Kemi Badenoch, an opposition leader and a future Prime Minister of UK.

“A journalist asked you about the state of Police in the country you hope to govern.

“Instead of answering the question with how you would make the police more efficient and accountable in protecting the people of UK, you resorted into inane cock and bull story of how police men stole your brother’s shoe in Nigeria.

“For someone who had obviously lied about everything she said about her upbringing in Nigeria just for the feel-good effect of keeping her new job, how can we be sure her brother’s so-called police experience in Nigeria was not another made up story?

“Her story of carrying desk and chair to sit in class at ISL didn’t add up.

“Her claim that she had no clean water to drink was a complete baloney for a girl who grew up in an upper middle-class family – mother a university professor and father a successful medical doctor who ran a well-known private hospital with rich clientele.

What did Kemi say about Nigerian Police?

As reported, Kemi narrated how Nigerian Police stole her brother’s watch and shoe, during an interview with The Free Press, a US media outfit.

“The police in Nigeria can be pretty corrupt.

“I remember the police stole my brother’s shoe and his watch.

“This country is really struggling, and people will do whatever it takes to get by.

“Giving them guns is like giving them a free pass to bully others, but that’s not even the worst of it.”

“We should expect more from the British police.

“Like when I got burgled in 2004, the police showed up, were really helpful, and eventually caught the thief.”

Olukemi Olufunto Adegoke Badenoch was born on January 2, 1980.
