Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande, has thrown his weight behind Seyi Tinubu, President Bola Tinubu’s son, saying he is qualified and not too young to become the next Governor of Lagos State.
This endorsement comes after the Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) backed Seyi to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in November 2024.
Olawande described Seyi as his leader and mentor, emphasizing that the president’s son has the capacity to lead Lagos State.
He argued that Seyi’s youth should not be a barrier, citing his well-trained background and experience in supporting and elevating young Nigerians, even before his father became president.
