Plateau Campaign Tragedy: Atiku Sends 10-man Delegation To Condole Victim’s Families

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar GCON, has said that he is deeply shocked, commiserates and condoles with the bereaved and accident victims of the PDP Jos Presidential Campaign Rally.

Atiku Abubakar, in consonance with his lifelong compassion, empathy and affection for people in despair and pain, sent a ten-man delegation of PDP Youths and Support Groups, led by Ambassador Aliyu Bin Abbas to the Plateau Specialist Hospital in Jos and the village of Poeship Shandam Bakin Kogi to commiserate and condole with the families of the deceased and those wounded in the road accidents on their way home after the PDP presidential rally in Jos a week ago.

The delegation met with the five survivors at the Plateau Specialist Hospital in Jos and expressed satisfaction with the medical staff for taking due and proper care of the victims. The hospital and rehabilitation fees were fully settled on the orders of Atiku.

The delegation subsequently traveled down south to the village of Poeship Shandam Bakin Kogi were they met with the bereaved families of Mrs Christy Yallok Dangroup and Mr Jornatus Morkwap.

At the condolence visit, an assistance of the sum of N2 million was made to defray burial costs and cushion the saddle of financial difficulties of the families.

They were further assured of further assistance with the children of the deceased who paid the ultimate sacrifice for their resolve of a greater Nigeria working again with Atiku Abubakar.

“May the souls of those departed rest in peace and kindly put your thoughts and prayers for those still in hospital recovering,” Ambassador Abbas said.
