Effective leadership is crucial for development of a state or country as it provides vision, direction, motivation, and the ability to navigate challenges, ultimately driving innovation, growth and resilience.

Effective leadership must be purposeful, courageous, altruistic people and result-oriented.

A comparative analysis of the immediate post Independence Southeastern region under the leadership of late Dr Michael Iheonukara Okpara and the present Southeast will show a yawning gap in terms of socio-economic development between the two despite the huge resources available to the present crop of leaders.

The Southeast region then comprising of Rivers, Bayelsa, Cross River and Akwa-Ibom in addition to the present Southeastern region was one of the fastest growing economies in the world and on similar footing with or even better than Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore etc

That was when the region had purposeful and determined leaders, who were driven by an altruistic desire to serve the people objectively by using the available resources to develop the region for the good of all.

The late Sam Mbakwe PhD, was also part of that generation and understandably equally did very well, but unfortunately the Abacha coup of 1983 put a spanner in the works.

With the return to democracy in 1999, the optimism was that the military, which was then seen as an aberration with their despotic rule will now focus on their constitutional duties while allowing the civilians to govern the country and the states.

Unfortunately, the reverse has been the case as many Nigerians are now relishing the period of military rule especially as it concerns their economic well-being.

With particular reference to Imo State, we have seen promises upon promises that were never fulfilled by successive administrations.

We have equally seen white elephant projects, abuse of office, financial profligacy, half-truths, balkanization and sectionalization of leadership.

Indeed, It has been a sorry story, tale of woes and dismal performance vis-a-vis the stupendous amount of money received every fiscal year.

It is against this backdrop, that Dr Chima Amadi – the son of God Almighty with a track record of effective and productive leadership both in business and human resources management is here to liberate Imo State.

Dr Amadi is coming like late iconic Dee Sam Mbakwe.

He is coming like the Moses of our time to lead Imo into the Promised Land to ensure guaranteed prosperity.

According to him, “Enough is enough. I am ready to serve sacrificially.

He said: “Imo deserves something better, and the world will hear while Imo people and residents will rejoice and sing praises to God Almighty because finally a liberator and liberation has come and Imo will be free from economic subjugation, ineffective leadership, and mismanagement of resources.

Imo must be set free from the clutches of mediocre leadership as intellectually average men, will no longer govern Imo State.”

Dr Chima Amadi, is a good man. His beards are rich beards of wisdom and success.

He is an upright man with strong character, charisma, candour, strength and immense resources at his disposal.

He is coming to reconnect the lost glory of Imo State AND to put smiles on the faces of Imo people.

He is coming to enlarge the coast of Imo State, to break barriers of inefficiency, ineptitude in governance, backwardness and unproductive style with a new set of leaders that mean well for Imo State.

The question is are we as a people ready for this beautiful gift from God Almighty and wonderful opportunity to take our destiny in our own hands?

Are we as a people ready to embrace change?

The momentum is tremendous, The Mazi Organization, TMO, is on the move and millions of Imo people are happily joining the train.

However, the old established forces are jittery and understandably so. We know their fears and it is natural but the bad forces can’t stop the hand of God.

Dr Chima Amadi is coming and he is unstoppable.

Duke writes from the ancient community of Nguru Umuaro, in Ngor Okpala LGA of Imo State.
