The Super Eagles of Nigeria will continue their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign with a crucial match against Zimbabwe.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) reports, Nigeria recently secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Rwanda and will aim to build on that momentum.

The highly anticipated match is scheduled for Tuesday, March 25, 2025, at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo.

Kick-off is set for 5 p.m., and the Super Eagles will be determined to secure maximum points at home.

Nigeria has historically dominated Zimbabwe, recording four wins, three draws, and only one loss in their previous eight meetings.

The last encounter between both teams ended in a 1-1 draw during a World Cup qualifier in Butare, Rwanda, in 2023.

Nigeria currently sits in fourth place in Group C with six points from four matches in the qualification standings.

South Africa leads the group with ten points, leaving Nigeria needing crucial victories to strengthen their World Cup qualification hopes.

Winning against Zimbabwe would significantly improve Nigeria’s chances of securing a place at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The Super Eagles will aim to maximize their home advantage and produce a dominant performance against their opponents.

Zimbabwe, however, will be determined to cause an upset and improve their own qualification chances in the group.

Nigeria’s head coach is expected to field a strong lineup, with key players ready to make an impact.

The Super Eagles’ attacking force will need to be clinical in front of goal to break down Zimbabwe’s defense.

With passionate home support, the Nigerian team will seek to claim three points and boost their position in the group.

Fans expect an inspired performance as the team pushes forward in their quest for World Cup qualification.

A victory in Uyo would not only boost morale but also keep Nigeria’s World Cup dreams alive.

The Super Eagles must remain focused and disciplined to avoid any surprises from the visiting Zimbabwean side.

The match promises to be an exciting and decisive encounter in Nigeria’s World Cup qualification journey.
