Students storm Akure streets, demand state action

Several videos trending on social media showed the students carrying placards and chanting protest songs.

The placards bore messages such as “We Need Security” and “Stop the Killings Now” to express their frustration.

The students decried the state government’s failure to ensure the safety of its citizens and called for immediate intervention.

One of the leaders of the protest explained that the action was necessary due to repeated attacks on students in transit.
