Diaspora digital media (DDM) gathered that the decision was reached by consensus among the six local government chairmen in Enugu North Senatorial District.

The announcement was made during a press briefing at Adada Hall in Nsukka Local Government Area.

Hon. Barr. Ugo Ferdinand, the ALGON Deputy Chairman in Enugu State, made the official statement after the meeting.

He stated that Barr. Ezugwu’s appointment received full support from all council chairmen within the district.

The Enugu North Economic Block was formed to protect and promote the state’s projects in all six LGAs.

Barr. Ferdinand emphasized the importance of unity and mutual support among the local governments.

He said that what affects Nsukka also impacts Igbo-Eze South, and vice versa with Uzo-Uwani.

According to him, collaboration will enhance project delivery and boost the local economy across communities.

“We will ensure that the Governor’s projects are well protected and maintained across all councils,” he stated.

He also described the block as a driving force for regional economic growth and self-reliance.

He added that Uzo-Uwani’s agricultural output benefits neighboring areas, reinforcing the need for shared responsibility.

Engr. Jude Asogwa, Chairman of Nsukka LGA, was named the Chairman of the Economic Block.

Hon. Ogalla, Chairman of Igbo-Eze North LGA, emerged as the Secretary of the newly formed body.
