A police inspector has been arrested for allegedly attempting to transport live ammunition through Nyanya Motor Park in Abuja.

According to Diaspora digital media (DDM) correspondent, the incident occurred on Saturday around 3:15 p.m. when police officers, working in coordination with security personnel from Keffi Motor Park, intercepted a suspicious package.

The package, which was being carried by the police inspector, was found to contain live rounds of ammunition.

This discovery immediately raised concerns due to the dangerous nature of the cargo.

It remains unclear where the police inspector intended to transport the ammunition or for what purpose.

Zagazola Makama, a prominent crime analyst, reported that the quick actions of the police officers prevented a potentially dangerous situation.
