Tragedy has struck at the Nanka-Agulu boundary in Anambra State, Nigeria where a prominent legal practitioner and his client were reportedly assassinated shortly after a court sitting.

The deceased, Barrister Rolex Ifeanyin, was said to be returning from a legal proceeding when unknown gunmen ambushed and killed him along with his client.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the victims were on their way back to Awka, the Anambra State capital, when the fatal incident occurred.

The Nanka-Agulu boundary, a region known for its difficult terrain, has previously been linked to isolated cases of violence, though never of this magnitude.

Reports from social media blogger Cutie Juls suggest the attack was premeditated and targeted.

Witnesses and sources close to the matter claim the assailants had been lying in wait, pointing to a planned ambush rather than a random act of violence.

While the identity of the client has not yet been made public, sources indicate that both he and Barrister Ifeanyin were involved in a high-profile legal matter that may have put them at risk.

As of the time of filing this report, the Anambra State Police Command has yet to issue an official statement.

Security operatives are reportedly investigating the circumstances surrounding the killing, but no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been named.

The tragic killing has sparked condemnation across Nigeria’s legal and human rights communities, who are demanding justice and increased protection for legal professionals.

Legal practitioners have expressed fear and concern, especially those handling politically sensitive or controversial cases in the region.

In a related development, Nigerian social media influencer and activist, Verydarkman, has revealed a deeply personal experience that has drawn widespread attention online.

He announced that he recently discovered he has the AS genotype, contradicting his long-held belief that he was AA.

The revelation came as a shock, especially because all three women he is romantically interested in also carry the AS genotype.

In Nigeria, genotype compatibility is a critical issue in romantic relationships due to the risk of sickle cell disease.

Couples who are both AS have a one in four chance of giving birth to a child with sickle cell anemia.

Verydarkman expressed his disappointment and heartbreak, saying the discovery has dashed his hopes of marrying any of the women he admired.

Using his trademark candid style, he turned his personal disappointment into a teachable moment for his followers.

He advised young Nigerians to check their genotype status early, especially before getting emotionally involved in romantic relationships.

The activist’s disclosure has reignited public discourse around sickle cell awareness, genotype testing, and responsible decision-making in relationships.

Health experts and advocacy groups have since echoed his message, urging citizens to prioritize genotype testing as a matter of public health.

Both the tragic murder of Barrister Rolex and the emotional revelation by Verydarkman have drawn national attention, raising questions about security, health, and personal responsibility in Nigerian society.
