Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, has denied claims that Southern Kaduna is being marginalised in governance and development.

He stated this during a recent interview, where he addressed concerns raised by some stakeholders in the region, Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) reports.

Governor Sani emphasised that his administration is guided by fairness, inclusion, and equal development for all parts of Kaduna State.

He said his government is not influenced by religion, ethnicity, or politics, but by a commitment to equity and progress.

To support his claims, he pointed to the recent appointment of the state’s Head of Service, a Christian woman.

“The Head of Service is not a Muslim; she’s a Christian. I appointed her myself a few months ago,” he said.

According to the governor, this decision reflects his dedication to carrying everyone along, regardless of religious or ethnic background.

He further explained that many top government officials in the state and at the federal level are Christians.

Governor Sani believes that having Christians in key positions fosters trust and inclusion among Kaduna State’s diverse population.

While appointments are important, the governor stressed that true fairness lies in development that benefits every citizen equally.

“The common man wants to see roads, hospitals, and projects that improve their lives,” he said during the interview.

He highlighted several infrastructural projects currently ongoing in Southern Kaduna to demonstrate his administration’s inclusive development approach.

Among them is a major road project stretching from Sanga to Kafanchan, aimed at improving connectivity in the region.

Hospital upgrades and other infrastructure developments are also being implemented to improve living conditions in Southern Kaduna.

Governor Sani clarified that these projects are not acts of favouritism but part of a statewide development strategy.

He said the goal is to ensure that no region is left behind, regardless of historical or political considerations.

“Our administration is not driven by politics, religion, or ethnicity,” the governor reiterated.

“What drives us is our commitment to the development of Kaduna State,” he stated clearly.

He acknowledged that Southern Kaduna residents may feel overlooked but assured them that this administration is working to change that.

Governor Sani said the government’s focus is on unity and justice, which are crucial for lasting peace and development.

He reaffirmed his commitment to delivering inclusive governance that meets the needs of all regions and communities.

“We are working every day to ensure that no part of the state is left behind,” Governor Sani added.

He concluded by urging all residents to support the government’s efforts toward building a united and developed Kaduna State.
