Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), a UK-based media organization with operations in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria is set to host a powerful and timely political discourse on Sunday, May 25, 2025.

The event, which will be broadcast live on DDM TV and YouTube, forms part of DDM’s popular political programme POLITICS TODAY, a platform known for engaging critical minds on national issues affecting governance, democracy, and public accountability.

In this latest edition, the discussion will focus on a highly sensitive and nationally relevant topic: “The Politics of 2027 Agenda: Electoral Reform and National Opposition Coalition – How Can Obi, Atiku and El-Rufai Overthrow Tinubu?”

The special guest for the programme is Dr. Ben Chukwu, a respected political analyst, seasoned medical practitioner, and committed activist.

Dr. Chukwu is also a prominent voice in the Vanguard for Good Governance, a civic coalition advocating transparent leadership and national development.

Dr. Chukwu is expected to provide expert insights into the prospects and challenges of building a formidable opposition front ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

With the political atmosphere gradually heating up, the idea of a coalition involving key political figures like Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and Nasir El-Rufai has stirred intense public interest and debate.

The session will delve into whether these leading opposition figures can overcome their differences and align strategically to challenge the incumbent, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in 2027.

The discussion will also address the urgent need for electoral reforms to ensure credible, transparent, and inclusive democratic processes.

The virtual event is scheduled for 4:00 PM Nigeria Time and will be anchored by Tochukwu Oguagbaka, also known as Otra Sane, a dynamic journalist and political commentator.
