The commercial hub of Anambra State – Onitsha – is shut down as market women and men troop to the street in protest.
They are asking the governor, Willie Obiano to step down or be impeached.
The demonstrators who spoke to APGA Interactive Forum correspondent on ground stated that the over taxation by Obiano govt is killing and milking them of their daily struggle.
They said the govt must revert to old tax rates.
Some of the market women carried placards that read “Obiano consider the poor”.
