Former Labour Party Presidential Candidate, His Excellency, Peter Obi will lead the South East Coalition to unseat President Bola Armed Tinubu.

Peter Obi who was a major contender in just concluded 2023 Presidential election, emerged the leader of the South East Coalition.

Atiku Abubarkar, El-Rufai, Rauf Aregbesola , Rotimi Amaechi , and David Mark emerged leaders of North Central, North East, North West, South South and South West.

This was contained in a recent release by leaders and members of the Coalition.

Analysis of the release: “The recent announcement of leaders from the six geopolitical zones for the political coalition championed by former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has generated significant interest and speculation.

The coalition’s ability to unseat incumbent President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027 is uncertain, and opinions are divided on the capacity of the leaders announced.

The leaders announced are as follows:
Atiku Abubakar (North East) – A seasoned politician with extensive experience in governance and diplomacy.

David Mark (North Central) – A veteran politician with a strong background in legislative affairs.

Nasir El-Rufai (North West) – A dynamic leader with experience in governance and administration.

.Rotimi Amaechi (South South) – A seasoned politician with a strong track record in governance and leadership.

Peter Obi (South East) – A popular leader with a strong following among young Nigerians.

Rauf Aregbesola (South West) – An experienced politician with a background in governance and administration.

The ability of these leaders to work together will be crucial to the coalition’s success.
