A new dawn for Anambra: ADC leads historic political shift with Nwosu

In a powerful show of unity and patriotic resolve, key political actors and critical stakeholders of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and allied parties under the Anambra Coalition Stakeholders Forum have thrown their full weight behind the visionary coalition initiative spearheaded by the ADC national leadership.

The historic gathering, which drew influential voices from all 21 Local Government Areas and 326 electoral wards of Anambra State, signaled a bold new chapter in Nigeria’s political evolution.

At the center of this transformative movement is the endorsement of Chief John Nwosu as the ADC’s governorship candidate for the November 8, 2025 election in Anambra State.

His emergence was met with thunderous applause from the crowd of political leaders, youth representatives, traditional stakeholders, and civil society groups gathered in Awka.

The event was marked by passionate deliberations led by Chief Nwosu, the ADC’s indefatigable National Chairman.

Nwosu who, with over two decades of political vision and groundwork, has laid the foundation for what may become Nigeria’s most formidable political coalition to date.

“This coalition is not just a political movement; it is the birth of a new Nigeria,” declared Chief Nwosu.

“We have spent over twenty years planting these seeds, nurturing ideas, and sacrificing sleep—today, we begin to reap the harvest.”

In a development that adds gravitas to the coalition’s credibility, Chief Nwosu revealed that former President Olusegun Obasanjo has played a significant advisory role in building the coalition framework.

He described the ADC as “a party with a difference.”

The Anambra Coalition Stakeholders Forum, in a strongly-worded communiqué signed by former Speaker Barr. BenChuks Nwosu (Chairman) and Prof. (Mrs) Zelunjo Igweze (Secretary), lauded the ADC leadership for stepping up at such a pivotal moment.

They emphasized that the nation is in dire need of a people-driven movement that speaks to the hopes, frustrations, and aspirations of Nigerians across regions, religions, and generations.

The Forum also acknowledged the restless energy among the populace, especially the youth, and declared that the coalition would serve as a political home for the disenchanted, the visionary, and the action-minded.

Stepping up to the podium with humility and confidence, Chief John Nwosu outlined his 7-point agenda for transforming Anambra State.

It focused on education reform, industrial revitalization, youth empowerment, healthcare access, security architecture, infrastructure development, and digital governance.

“Anambra deserves more than promises—we deserve progress,” Chief Nwosu said.

“And I am here to offer not just a plan, but a pact with the people.

“A pact to serve, to transform, and to lead with integrity.”

The political tide is clearly shifting.

What once seemed fragmented is now finding alignment through the ADC’s leadership and vision.
