How to partake in JAMB mop-up Exam for candidates who missed UTME 2025

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially scheduled the 2025 UTME Mop-Up Exam for Saturday, 28th June 2025.

This special exercise is for candidates who missed the main UTME due to valid issues, including technical glitches and biometric failures.

Who is eligible for the JAMB Mop-Up Exam?

According to JAMB, 96,838 candidates will participate. You qualify if you fall into one of the following groups:

  • Spill-over candidates from previous sessions: 5,096 candidates
  • Candidates who could not be verified biometrically
  • Candidates affected by system glitches at certain CBT centres in:
  • Lagos (65 centres)
  • Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi, and Enugu States (92 centres)

Candidates who missed both the main and rescheduled UTME: 91,742 individuals

When to print your Exam slip

Printing of notification slips starts Monday, 23rd June 2025.

  • Visit www.jamb.gov.ng
  • Use your JAMB registration number to log in
  • Click on Print Examination Slip
  • Your slip will display your exam date, time, and CBT centre
  • Make sure to print and bring it with you on exam day.
  •  Exam Day Details
  • Exam Date: Saturday, 28th June 2025
  • First session starts at 8:00 AM
  • Arrive by 6:30–7:00 AM to allow time for accreditation and biometric verification.
  • Exam will be held in 183 CBT centres nationwide

Important reminders

Bring a valid ID and your slip

Do not bring prohibited items (phones, calculators, watches, etc.)

Only candidates with valid mop-up exam approval will be allowed to take the test

Final tips

Check your email and SMS regularly for updates from JAMB

Prepare like it’s your first time—the mop-up exam carries the same weight
