Monaco Want Onana, But Man United Want £30m
DDM News

Manchester United have reportedly placed a £30 million price tag on their first-choice goalkeeper, Andre Onana, amid growing transfer interest.
Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that the Cameroonian international could be on his way out of Old Trafford, just one season after arriving from Inter Milan.
However, the Red Devils are said to be unwilling to let him go for anything less than the stated amount.
According to a report by the Daily Mail, French Ligue 1 side AS Monaco have expressed interest in the shot-stopper but have yet to make an official offer.
Monaco are now aware of the financial requirements, as head coach Ruben Amorim looks to strengthen his squad with a dependable goalkeeper.
Onana’s debut season at Manchester United was underwhelming. The 28-year-old managed only 11 clean sheets in 50 appearances across all competitions.
His form, particularly in the Premier League, was inconsistent and subject to regular criticism from fans and pundits alike.
As a result, United endured a turbulent campaign, finishing a disappointing 15th in the Premier League, an embarrassing outcome for a club of their stature.
The Red Devils also lost to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final, further raising concerns over their defensive performances.
Despite Onana’s previous success at Inter Milan and his reputation as a ball-playing goalkeeper, Manchester United now appear open to offloading him, if the right offer arrives.
The club is already eyeing replacements, with Aston Villa’s Emiliano Martinez emerging as a strong contender.
Martinez, who played a crucial role in Argentina’s 2022 FIFA World Cup win, has been in excellent form in the Premier League and is widely regarded as a more reliable and commanding figure in goal.
Onana joined Manchester United in the summer of 2023 as manager Erik ten Hag sought a goalkeeper comfortable with ball distribution.
However, his adaptation to the intensity and pace of English football has been far from smooth.
With the transfer window wide open, the spotlight now turns to Monaco and any other interested clubs. Whether anyone meets United’s £30 million valuation remains to be seen, but Onana’s future at Old Trafford is clearly under threat.
