DDM TV is set to host a pivotal national conversation under its flagship programme, Politics Hour, drawing public attention to growing political realignments and pressing security challenges across Nigeria.

The event, scheduled for Friday, July 11, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Nigerian time, will feature renowned surgeon and political analyst Dr. Ben Chukwu as the special guest. Dr. Chukwu, who holds degrees in Medicine and Surgery (MBBCh, FMCS), is widely recognised as a committed advocate of the Obidient Movement and a leading voice for social justice and accountable governance.

This edition of Politics Hour carries the theme: Nigeria at the Crossroads: Unpacking the ADC Opposition Coalition, Security Crisis, and the Igbo Question.” It promises an intense and unfiltered interrogation of Nigeria’s current socio-political atmosphere, particularly the realignment of opposition forces led by the African Democratic Congress (ADC), the escalating insecurity in the country, and the marginalization concerns often referred to as the “Igbo Question.”

Anchored by Tochukwu Raphael Oguagbaka, the programme aims to provide clarity and insight into national issues that continue to generate fierce debates ahead of the 2027 general elections. Dr. Chukwu’s presence is expected to further ignite public interest, given his consistent grassroots mobilisation and vocal support for the political aspirations of Nigerian youths and marginalised regions.

Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), a UK-based Nigerian media organisation known for tackling hard-hitting issues, will stream the event live on its YouTube channel.

Viewers can also join the Zoom broadcast using the Meeting ID: 860 4996 8026 and Passcode: 178795

The conversation will likely touch on the feasibility and influence of the growing opposition movement, the state of security across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, and whether the Igbo political identity is finally finding its place in the national dialogue.

Nigerians at home and in the diaspora are encouraged to tune in and engage, as the discussion may set the tone for future political discourse and electoral dynamics in the country.
