‘Don’t Abandon PDP’ — Bode George Begs Obi, Atiku

Former PDP Deputy National Chairman, Chief Olabode George, has appealed to Peter Obi, Atiku Abubakar, and other political figures who joined the ADC coalition to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
During a recent interview with Arise TV, George expressed shock at Obi’s involvement with the ADC.
He asked what the former Anambra governor was doing in a coalition that weakens PDP’s strength ahead of the 2027 elections.
He said the PDP had resolved internal disputes and was now ready to reclaim power. According to him, those jumping ship should remember that voters still matter the most.
“I was surprised to see Obi there. What is he looking for? These people benefited from PDP. Do you disown your father’s house?” George asked.
He stressed that selfishness, not ideology, drives these defections. He warned that such moves only divide the opposition and strengthen President Bola Tinubu’s chances in 2027.
“You want to kick Bola out in 2027, yet you divide the house? It makes no sense,” he said.
George insisted the PDP has survived storms in the past and still holds strong grassroots support nationwide.
He urged former party members now aligning with ADC to return before it’s too late.
“I have no doubt PDP can deliver. The voice of the people is the voice of God,” he declared.
His remarks follow recent news that Atiku, David Mark, and other influential politicians have joined the ADC coalition. The move has triggered talks of a unified front against Tinubu.
Yet, George believes the real unity lies in PDP. “Let’s come together again. We can’t win divided,” he warned.
