The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a fresh political prophecy.

He warned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) risks losing Lagos in 2027 if it imposes a candidate.

In a statement released by his media office on Monday, Ayodele emphasized that Lagos will be very difficult for APC to retain.

According to him, voters will likely resist any attempt to rig the upcoming election.

He, therefore, urged the APC to allow an open contest. By doing so, he said, the party stands a better chance of selecting a candidate who can win genuinely.

“With the wrong candidate, Lagos will be on fire in 2027,” Ayodele warned. “No amount of rigging will save APC.”

Moreover, the cleric stressed the importance of fielding a candidate who connects with the masses.

He argued that a grassroots politician not a technocrat has the best shot at retaining the state for the party.

“They must choose someone the people love,” he added. “Not just a technocrat, but someone known widely at the grassroots.”

Ayodele noted that even if APC works hard, the 2027 race won’t be easy. He said the party will have to earn every vote if it wants to remain in power in Lagos.

“APC must sweat to win Lagos,” he said. “If they impose a candidate, they will definitely lose.”

In addition, Ayodele emphasized that the people of Lagos are becoming more politically aware. For that reason, any unpopular or handpicked candidate will most likely face rejection.

“They need someone experienced and widely admired. If they don’t get it right, they’ll lose Lagos,” Ayodele concluded.

Primate Ayodele is known for making bold political predictions. His latest prophecy reflects growing concerns about internal democracy in Nigerian politics.

Although the APC currently controls Lagos, recent election trends suggest rising voter frustration.

If APC repeats old mistakes, Ayodele believes the state could flip in 2027.
