Obi visits Daura to condole with Buhari’s family

Mr. Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the last election, has paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in Daura, Katsina State.

Obi was spotted at Buhari’s Daura residence on Wednesday, a day after the former President was laid to rest.

Other dignitaries present during the visit were former Vice president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar and Mallam Nasir El-rufai, former governor of Kaduna State.

Buhari was buried on Tuesday in Daura, according to Islamic rites, with a funeral prayer led by the Imam of the Central Mosque in Daura, Sheikh Salisu Rabiu.

Army Generals and Service Chiefs carried Buhari’s coffin to the graveside, where a 21-gun salute was fired, marking a final act of military honor.

Obi’s visit is a show of respect and solidarity with the Buhari family during this difficult time.
