How ADC outsmarted APC ahead of 2027 election — Momodu

Chief Dele Momodu, publisher of Ovation Magazine, believes the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has gained the upper hand over the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He said this while speaking during an interview on Arise Television.

Momodu claims the opposition has strategically outpaced the APC, citing the ADC’s growing momentum as a significant factor.

He expressed confidence in the newly formed opposition coalition and its ability to disrupt the APC’s plans.

Momodu reflected on the internal struggles within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), noting that the party has been weakened since 2022 by unresolved grievances following the presidential primaries.

He shared his personal experience, having contested in the primaries with zero votes, but proudly mentioned getting 26,000 votes nationwide in 2011.

Momodu stated that the APC is eager to seize momentum heading into 2027, with the party rushing to contest the elections as soon as possible.

He criticized the political environment, saying Nigerian leaders focus on power plays rather than developmental agendas.

Momodu expressed confidence in the ADC’s ability to outplay the APC, saying, “We’re going to play them with a game they do not understand.”

He believes the APC is rattled by the ADC’s growing momentum and will try to scatter the party, but it’s unlikely to succeed.

Momodu previously suggested that Peter Obi could be a suitable leader for the coalition, but he also expressed support for Atiku Abubakar, stating that Atiku is his best choice among the presidential aspirants in the ADC.
