Nigeria/Africa’s Track Queen—Blessing Okagbare Turns 31

Published

on

The queen of Nigerian and African track and field athletics, Blessing Okagbare, has turned 31 years.

Okagbare, it should be noted, changed the narrative by making Nigeria Athletics recognised globally in the past decade.

Blessing Okagbare is a professional athlete, Africa’s fastest woman, three time Olympian, 2008 Olympic Silver medalist, 2013 World Championship Silver and bronze medalist, and the list goes on…

A sports analyst, who spoke to ElombahNews on condition of anonymity, lamented that as Okagbare gradually winds up her sports career due to age and family engagements, Nigeria is yet to get a perfect replacement for the track and field diva.
