President Bola Tinubu on Wednesday, met with APC governors at the State House in Abuja to discuss key party issues ahead of the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

The closed-door session addressed internal unity, strategic planning for upcoming elections, and national governance matters.
Governor Hope Uzodimma, PGF Chairman, led 23 other governors to the meeting.

The President briefed governors on the Federal Government’s policy direction and the party’s internal agenda, including a possible consensus on a new substantive APC National Chairman following Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s resignation.

Senator Tanko Almakura, former Governor of Nasarawa State, is reportedly one of the leading contenders for the post. The outcome of the meeting may shape Thursday’s NEC proceedings, where key party leadership decisions are anticipated.

The APC NEC meeting is scheduled for today, July 25 at 2pm in the Banquet Hall of the State House, where crucial decisions on party leadership are expected.
