Terry Gene Bollea, popularly known as Hulk Hogan, has passed away at the age of 71 due to cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida.

Hogan launched his wrestling career in 1977 and rose to fame in the 1980s with the WWF (now WWE), headlining major events and winning the championship title six times.

He was known for his charismatic persona, trademark blond horseshoe mustache, and bandanas.

Hulk Hogan played a pivotal role in elevating professional wrestling to mainstream popularity and family-oriented entertainment.

His influence extended beyond the ring, with appearances in films like Rocky III, No Holds Barred, Suburban Commando, and Mr. Nanny.

In 1996, Hogan reinvented his persona by turning heel and adopting the “Hollywood Hogan” character in WCW’s New World Order (nWo) storyline.

He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame twice, first in 2005 and again in 2020 alongside fellow nWo members.

Hogan had been dealing with various health issues, particularly with his back, since retiring as a wrestler.

He underwent multiple surgeries, including a recent neck surgery, and had been hospitalized for treatment.

Hogan’s legacy in professional wrestling is undeniable, with a career spanning over four decades.

He was a household name, and his impact on the sport continues to be felt today.
