Diaspora Digital Media (DDM) gathered that former Anambra State Governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, took to social media on Saturday to share highlights from his engagement as a special guest at two secondary school graduation ceremonies held in Rivers and Anambra States.
Obi first visited Bishop Okoye Spiritan Secondary School in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, responding to a long-standing invitation from the school management.
He described the experience as deeply inspiring and said he was uplifted by the intelligence, optimism, and determination of the graduating students.
He specifically commended the students’ outstanding performance in the recent Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) examinations, noting that they had emerged as academic champions.
While addressing the graduates, Obi emphasized the transformative power of education, stating that it was not only the key to developing Nigeria but also a tool to compete globally.
“With education, you can take over the world,” Obi told the attentive audience, reaffirming his belief that young Nigerians hold the potential to drive national rebirth through learning and discipline.
Shortly after, Obi travelled to Obosi, Anambra State, where he participated in the graduation ceremony of Divine Rays British School.
There, his message focused on personal determination, resilience, and vision.
In his speech, he urged students not to be discouraged by the limitations of their background or present circumstances. Instead, he encouraged them to dream big and remain focused.
“Never stop believing in your dreams, no matter how big they seem.
Your background should not define your future. With hard work, integrity, and faith, you can become leaders who transform Nigeria,” Obi declared.
The former governor also expressed deep appreciation to the staff and students of both schools for their warm reception and hospitality, praising the efforts of educators and administrators in nurturing the next generation of leaders.
“To the exceptional staff and students, thank you for the warm welcome and the opportunity to share in your journey,” Obi wrote in his post.
He concluded with his signature message of national renewal: “A New Nigeria is POssible.”
Obi’s latest outreach comes amid ongoing conversations around education reform, youth empowerment, and the role of moral leadership in shaping the country’s future.
In the political space, Obi continues to draw attention for his consistent engagement with young people and his focus on education as a core pillar of national development.
His visits to these schools have once again reinforced his image as a people-centric leader with a genuine interest in youth transformation and inclusive governance.
Reactions to his post have flooded social media, with many Nigerians hailing the visit as a timely reminder of the value of education, character, and visionary leadership in today’s troubled socio-political climate.
