It seems like there will be a tough time ahead for the owner of the popular SIDONI Water Company as the activities of one of his companies, ASHLAND Integrated Services Limited is currently being investigated.
It was revealed by sources that in March of 2012, the then coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Kingsley Kuku, awarded a contract of N1.2Bn to one Mr Selekaye Ben, popularly known as Sele, through ASHLAND Integrated Services.
The contract was meant to empower a certain number of ex-militants.
This job was never done but paid for in full.
A special Audit Investigation Team, looking through the activities of various parastatal in the previous administration, discovered this and other shady deals, linked to the former Amnesty Coordinator, who is currently on the run.
Further investigations by NaijaLeaks revealed that in April of the same year, the monies were paid through a Fin Bank Account and immediately disbursed without even a list of beneficiaries to be empowered.
All efforts to reach the current Amnesty Coordinator, Gen Boroh, to confirm the current situation, have failed.
However, sources reveal that he is under pressure from the Presidency to open the books of his predecessors.
NaijaLeaks also gathered that Mr Sele, the individual under investigation is the blood brother of Boy Loaf.
Boy Loaf is a notorious ex militant who just recently led a delegation to the Presidency to call for the sack of Gen Boroh.
Could all this be connected?
