Abducted governorship candidate regains freedom in Nigeria

The Governorship Candidate of the National Rescue Movement, NRM, for the 2023 elections in Rivers State, Amb. Sobomabo Jackrich, has regained his freedom.

Jackrich was released Wednesday evening and has met some of his loyalists and allies in Port Harcourt.

Although reason for his arrest and release has been disclosed but, the Head Chief of Ike Group of Houses is said to be in worries over the development.

A source, who is one of his aides, but preferred anonymity, said: “he was released this evening, (Wednesday) but he does not want to talk to anybody because he is consulting with his people.

“But at the moment, the army is denying that they are not the ones who carried out the action. So the matter is sensitive now.”
