Anambra State governor, Willie Obiano received the former head of state General Abdulsalam Abubakar, late afternoon Friday at the governor’s lodge, Amawbia.
Purpose of the visit and details of their discussions were not made public.
But political watchers believed it would not be unconnected with the issues of the poor state of the nation, security, Biafra agitation and President Muhammadu Buhari’s disposition towards the entire Igbo nation.
The former head of State spoke Friday when he paid a social visit to the Governor in Awka.
Gen Abdulsalam Abubakar (rtd) called Obiano a governor with a difference and described the developmental strides of Governor Willie Obiano as highly commendable.
He was accompanied by a former governor of old Kaduna state, Alhaji Abba Musa Rimi, amongst others.
The General had held a closed door meeting with the governor after commissioning a project in the state.
