Adamawa State Is The Most Peaceful, Bindow Told Int’l Peace Advocacy Group

The Executive Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow told an international Peace advocacy group that the state is more peaceful than perceived through the efforts of President Muhammad Buhari.

The group came to Yola in a “Peace Pilgrims Mission” to meet,pray and sympathise with the internally displaced persons (IDPs) who have been either  traumatized and facing a lot of psychological and social problems.

Bindow assured the delegation ninety nine percent of the IDPs they met at the camps are not from Adamawa state but indigenes of Borno who have been receiving a magnanimous support by the State.

“We have closed down one of the Major IDPs camp in our state and ninety nine percent of the IDPs in the other camps In the state are not from Adamawa, we are keeping them because they are human beings and they deserves our magnanimity support.” Bindow Said

Jibrilla further said that the insecurity problem the country is facing is being fuel by some unpopular politicians who have nothing to offer to the electorates.

The delegation of the group led by his grace eminent President of the World Lutheran Church council, LCCN, Most Rev Musa Panti Filibus organized by the world council of churches (WCC) facilitated by Transforming, Analyzing, Accompanying And Building Change Organizations (TAABCO) with headquarters in Nairobi Kenya,said their interaction with the IDPs revealed that the two dominant religion are lovers of peace and encourage peaceful coexistence.

In her earlier submissions, the Moderator of the Church Council,Dr Mrs Agnes Aboum while appreciating the efforts of Governor Bindow  making sure that normal life will return to all places in dilemma as a result of war or disasters.

”We are to see for ourselves how the IDPs are faring and to give our Support in terms of counselling, education on trauma handling and to help the over come the stigma of being IDPs when the return to normal life.” Agnes Said
