ENUGU, Nigeria — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has unveiled Chief Obodoeze Ocho Chukwuma as its governorship candidate for the 2027 election in Enugu State, with his team urging residents to support his vision of transforming the state into “a new York” through a comprehensive reform agenda focused on security, jobs, technology, agriculture, and youth empowerment.
The announcement was made through the Obodoeze Ocho Media Project, which held a sensitization event at Okpara Square in Enugu, calling on Ndi Enugu to rally behind the ADC candidate. According to the team, Ocho Chukwuma possesses the competence, character, and commitment required to lead Enugu State into a new era of development and prosperity.
The initiative, which carries the slogan “New Vision for a Greater Enugu,” outlines some agenda that includes security, job creation, technology, agriculture, and youth empowerment. Ocho Chukwuma’s team has emphasised his dedication to reforming Enugu State and positioning it as a model of economic growth and innovation.
In a statement issued by the Obodoeze Ocho Media Project, the team expressed confidence that Ocho Chukwuma’s leadership would bring about the kind of transformative change that residents have long desired. The group urged voters to support the ADC candidate, describing him as a leader who understands the challenges facing Enugu State and has the capacity to address them.
