Angola Coach Goncalves Vows to Stop Osimhen and Lookman

Ahead of the quarter-final match between Angola and Nigeria in the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament, Angola coach Pedro Goncalves has spoken about his team’s strategy to stop Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.

Speaking to reporters ahead of the match, Goncalves acknowledged the threat posed by Osimhen and Lookman, who have been in fine form throughout the tournament.

He stated that his team would need to be at their best to contain the Nigerian duo.

We know that Osimhen and Lookman are two very dangerous players, and we will do everything we can to stop them, Goncalves said.

We have been studying their game and have come up with a strategy to neutralize their threat.

Goncalves also expressed confidence in his team’s ability to compete against Nigeria, despite the odds being stacked against them.

We know that Nigeria is a strong team, but we are not afraid of them,” he said. “We have a talented squad that can match them in every department.”

The quarter-final match between Angola and Nigeria is expected to be a closely contested affair, with both teams eager to advance to the semi-finals of the tournament.

Nigeria, who are the defending champions, will be looking to continue their impressive form and secure a place in the next round, while Angola will be hoping to cause an upset and progress to the semi-finals.

As the match approaches, all eyes will be on Osimhen and Lookman to see if they can continue their goal-scoring form, and on Angola’s defense to see if they can contain the Nigerian duo.
