Nigerian politicians will fair far better if they learn from the cohesive, determined play of the Super Eagles in the ongoing African Cup of Nations, AFCON in Cote D’Ivoire, say Pascal Atuma, a Nigerian- Canadian award winning film.

Atuma is also football licensed coach and is currently in the Ivorian capital ready for the final showdown of the competition which will feature the Eagles and the host nations.

“Super Eagles have shown selflessness and I think our politicians should emulate such spirit,” Atuma said to DDM from Cote d’Ivoire.

Super Eagles dispatched arc rivals, Bafana Bafana of South Africa by four goals to two via penalty shoot-out on Wednesday evening to book final spot of the Africa biggest football show piece in a tension soaked cracker in Bouake.

Pascal Atuma who has been following the super eagles over a decade, described Wednesday’s semi final clash with Nigeria as craziest game from the blast of the whistle to end, stating that he had followed eagles to Brazil, Russia 2018 and Egypt 2019 and have not witness such an electrifying display from them.

“I think at this point in our nation, Politicians should learn from the Eagles patriotism, selflessness, sacrifice, togetherness and how to serve a nation wholeheartedly, how to love a nation as its being exemplified by our players”

He Urged Nigerian leaders to copy the spirit of selfless service and renewed commitment by genuinely fix persistent hunger in the land and other untold hardship bedeviling the Country.

While congratulating players and officials of Nigeria on their well deserved victory over Bafana Bafana, Atuma implored them to remain focus and resolute in their quest to win fourth title to eventually achieve the mantra of let’s do it again.
