President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has extended warm congratulations to Remo Stars Football Club following their historic success in the 2024–2025 Nigerian Premier Football League (NPFL) season.

Diaspora digital media (DDM) revealed that the Ikenne-based team’s victory has been widely celebrated as a significant milestone for both Ogun State and Nigerian football.

In an official statement issued by Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, the President praised the remarkable efforts that led to the club’s first-ever league title.

Tinubu described the achievement as “a testament to the hard work, discipline, and unyielding spirit” exhibited by the players, coaching staff, and management team.

President Tinubu noted the resilience and perseverance of Remo Stars, highlighting how the club overcame previous disappointments to finally lift the coveted trophy.

According to the President, the team’s persistence in chasing their dream, despite narrowly missing the title in earlier seasons, should serve as a powerful example for other football clubs across the nation.

He emphasized that determination, tenacity, and optimism remain essential ingredients for success in sports and other areas of life.

The President also commended the pivotal role played by the club’s owner and chairman, Mr. Kunle Soname.
