Akwa Ibom State Representative on the Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Apostle Abasiandikan Nkono, has commended Governor Umo Eno for his exceptional leadership and developmental strides as the State celebrated his second anniversary in office.

Nkono spoke with journalists on Sunday after the Second Anniversary Thanksgiving Service held at the International Worship Centre in Uyo, the State Capital.

He lauded the Governor for “unifying the State, engendering inclusivity in governance, and his unwavering commitment to the welfare of Akwa Ibom people, particularly through the ARISE Agenda, which focuses on agriculture, rural development, infrastructure, security, and education.”

“Governor Umo Eno has demonstrated in just two years that he is a leader with a clear vision and a heart for the people. From road construction to healthcare improvements, educational support, and agricultural empowerment, his administration has touched every sector. The ARISE Agenda is not just a slogan; it is a reality transforming lives across Akwa Ibom,” he said.

The NDDC Rep specifically highlighted the governor’s efforts in rural development, including the construction of roads linking agrarian communities to urban markets. He also praised the Eno administration’s investment in education, such as scholarships for indigent students, as well as the ongoing construction of model primary schools across the state.

“When you visit rural communities, you see new roads, renovated health centers, and farmers benefiting from agricultural support programs. This is what inclusive governance looks like, and Governor Eno deserves commendation for keeping his promises,” he added.

The NDDC representative urged Akwa Ibom residents to remain supportive of the governor’s initiatives, emphasizing that sustainable development requires collective effort.
