Akwa Ibom Water MD receives Fellowship Award from Nigerian Society of Engineers

The Managing Director of Akwa Water Company Limited in Akwa Ibom State, Engr. Edo Etuk, has been honored with the prestigious Fellowship Cadre award by the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE) in recognition of his commitment and significant contributions to the engineering profession.
The conferment ceremony was recently held at the NEC Auditorium, Nigerian Society of Engineers Headquarters, located off Labour House Road, Central Business District, Abuja.
The event saw a significant turnout of engineers from across the country.
In his remarks to the press after the award ceremony, Engr. Etuk expressed his profound gratitude to God Almighty for the successful event and for being recognized among the selected engineers by the Uyo chapter of the NSE, chaired by Engr. Uwem Akpan, along with the Akwa Ibom State Chapter of the Nigerian Institution of Civil Engineers, chaired by Engr. Samuel Ukata, who recommended him for the award.
Etuk stated that with this award, he will continue to contribute his efforts to the progress of the engineering profession and work diligently to promote it.
He praised the two associations for their recommendations and expressed deep appreciation for his wife’s support and prayers. “Behind every successful man, there is a virtuous woman,” he added.
“I am so excited today. I sincerely thank my constituency NICE Uyo under the able leadership of NSE Uyo for recommending me for the prestigious national award of FNSE.
Alongside others like former chairman Engr. Ukeme Okpob, I am undoubtedly motivated to advance our noble engineering profession. Thank you so much to all my colleagues,” said Etuk.
In a goodwill message, the Chairman, Engr. Uwem Akpan, FNSE, along with the Excos and members of the Nigerian Society of Engineers, Uyo Branch, celebrated Engr. Edo Etuk on his NSE Fellowship Conferment.
The message, conveyed through their publicity secretary, Engr. Wisdom Ukpabio, included a quote by Booker T. Washington: “Success is to be measured not so much by the position that one has reached in life as by the obstacles which he has overcome.”
“Indeed, this is a well-deserved success, and you have proven yourself to be a valuable asset. We are confident that you will continue to succeed in all your future endeavors,” the message concluded.
