Saudi Arabia’s Al Hilal submits third bid worth £70m for Liverpool’s Nunez

Al Hilal Saudi has lodged a massive £70m bid for Liverpool’s star striker Darwin Nunez.

This audacious offer is the third from the Saudi Pro League giants.

Liverpool had rejected two bids for the player in the past 48 hours.

Al Hilal interest comes on the back of a significant injury blow to their Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic.

With Mitrovic ruled out for an extended period, Al Hilal is desperate to find a suitable replacement to spearhead their attack for the remainder of the season.

Nunez, despite his underwhelming goal returns for Liverpool, had an impressive stint at Benfica of Portugal.

However, Liverpool is reluctant to let go of their prized asset, and the Reds are reportedly holding out for a higher offer.

With Nunez’s market value exceeding £100m, Liverpool’s valuation is not unreasonable, considering the player’s immense talent and potential.

Nunez was left out of The Reds lineup in the UEFA Champions League loss to away to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday, with club sources citing illness as reason.
