All Igbos in Adamawa State are Indigenes, says Gov Bindow in sallah message

The Governor of Adamawa state, Senator Muhammadu Umaru Jibrilla Bindow in a form of endorsement has reiterated that Igbo people in the state are bonafide indigenes and have equal right like any other person(s).

Bindow said this while receiving Sallah goodwill messages and greetings from various government agencies and non governmental Group in the state.

Stating that Nigeria is one country those agitating for Biafran state are just mere  Nigeria enemies:

“You are part and parcel of this state,real indigenes as far as I’m concern, this is one of the reason that made this administration to appoint one of you as a special advice.”

The statement made by the governor was as a result of an earlier submission of the chairman of Igbo cultural organization (ICO),Mr Paul Ogbanna where he distanced the Igbos in Adamawa state with the agitation of the Ohaneze Ndigbo of wanting a Biafran state out of Nigeria.

According to him all the Igbos are indigene of Adamawa state and never in support of what some Igbos are struggle of and remain loyal to the government under the Leadership of Bindow.

Jibrilla continue to say that  his administration is of the Masses,and the government is not afraid of the enemies of the State because it’s bend in doing the masses projects.

He revealed that 129 roads and 5 big bridges were constructed at the cost of 16 billon naira amounted to 119 kilometers less than what the previous government were given out contracts even when Naira was much appreciated to the dollars.

“Because my Government is of the masses all my enemies and that of the state will be frustrated through my work,in fact 9 roads were awarded for construction in Yola town again. I will never stop working and Adamawa state money will not be shared to some greedy indigenes of the state.”

He also revealed that the government agenda of shifting his priority in the health and Education sectors have started with building a standard complex hospital in Numan in it is all facilities needed to have a perfect Hospital.

According to him the state government saved 1.9 Billion Naira in a first phase stage meant to be used to construct 123 Primary and secondary schools and since 1 billion naira was given to the 25 state’s lawmaker for constituency developmental work. The money was judicious used to generate water in their various constituencies and through Counterpart funding 77 schools are constructed also.

He announced given a Special Assistant (SA) appointment to the chairman of the disabled Association of the state and one slot of the SA was also given to the Yorubas  association.

All this revelation by the Governor is to intimate the people of the state that the present government is working all round its system and do not concentrate in one aspect of the economy.

He call on the people of the State to pray for him to succeed in working well for the state knowing the fact that leadership is a huge task and there is great trials in it,warning all politicians holding any political office to fear God and do what will be happy with before the judgement day.

“My mission is to unite the people of the state.” He said
