The campaign team of Mr. John Chuma Nwosu, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) candidate for the Anambra State governorship election coming up on November 8, 2025, over the weekend embarked on a historic visit to Innoma.
Innoma is a unique and isolated community in Anambra West Local Government Area.
It is a place so geographically distinct that it shares borders with Kogi State and is accessible only by flying boats.
A member of the campaign team, Mr. Tony Ukaegbu, narrated the adventure as one full of memorable moments.
Speaking to Diaspora Digital Media (DDM), Mr. Ukaegbu said: “It was a day that tested both resolve and purpose.
“A day that proved once again that His Excellency John Chuma Nwosu and the African Democratic Congress (ADC) are fully committed to reaching every corner of Anambra State, no matter how distant or difficult.
“The journey was far from ordinary.
“Along the narrow, waterlogged road leading to the riverbank, one of the campaign vehicles got stuck in the mud, bringing the convoy to a halt.
“But true to his character, John Nwosu refused to be deterred.
“With calm leadership and unshaken determination, he led the team on foot through the marshy stretch until they reached the riverbank.
“There, the team boarded flying boats and made their way across the river to the awaiting people of Innoma.”

Innoma people respond in kind
On their part, the Innoma people responded in kind with gifts and songs.
Ukaegbu told further: “The community’s joy was overwhelming.
“Cheers, songs, and heartfelt prayers filled the air as they welcomed Team JCN.
“In a beautiful show of gratitude and happiness, the people of Innoma presented big tubers of yam to Mr. Nwosu.
“They said the tubers of yam is a symbolic gesture of love, unity, and acceptance.

“Their gift reflected their deep appreciation for a leader who cared enough to reach them against all odds.
“It was more than a campaign stop… a journey of connection, courage, and compassion.
“It was one that reinforced JCN’s message of inclusion and development for every Anambra citizen, even those in the most remote parts of the state.

On his part, Mr. Nwosu assured the people that he will not leave any community behind during his tenure.
“Anambra’s progress must reach even the farthest shores,” Nwosu told his hosts.
Concluding his narrative, Ukaegbu noted: “As Anambra decides, the choice is clear.
“A vote for John Chuma Nwosu and the ADC is a vote for true inclusion, leadership with compassion, and development that touches every home and community.
“Let’s make history together — vote ADC, vote JCN for Governor! Ka Anambra Chakee!”
