Cross River APC endorses Governor Bassey Otu, deputy for 2027 election

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State has endorsed Governor Bassey Otu and his deputy, Peter Odey.
They have been declared as the party’s sole candidates for the 2027 governorship election in the state.
This announcement as gathered by Diaspora digital media (DDM), was made on Monday during a press briefing at the APC secretariat in Calabar.
The event was attended by key party leaders, stakeholders, and supporters from different parts of the state.
State Chairman, Alphonsus Eba, highlighted the leadership qualities and achievements of the governor and his deputy.
He stated that no one changes a winning team, emphasizing the party’s commitment to Otu’s re-election.
Eba urged all party members and support groups to intensify grassroots mobilization efforts ahead of the 2027 election.
He also reaffirmed the party’s stance against unauthorized legal actions being taken in its name.
Addressing concerns about inclusivity, the APC leadership clarified its position on political participation within the party.
They stated that all other political positions remain open for contest except the governorship and deputy governorship seats.

The endorsement came after a joint resolution by the State Working Committee and the State Executive Committee.
