Anambra guber: Soludo’s campaign train storms Dunukofia

 

Thousands of residents in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra State, throng the headquarters in Ukpo to receive Governor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, his wife, Dr. Nonye and the Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim.

Speaking at the peak of the rally, Governor Soludo emphasized the importance of local support, stating, “I appreciate ndị Dunukofia,” highlighting the strong backing he received during his his campaign and election.

Reflecting on past successes, he remarked, “We won resoundingly in Dunukofia in 2021,” expressing confidence in future electoral victories: “I’ve been told we will win all the wards and polling units.”

Governor Soludo also took time to outline the substantial progress made during his administration, noting, “In the last three and a half years, we’ve been building the foundation.”

He revealed improvements in the education sector, declaring, “The public schools were in a deplorable state when we came. Today, it is no longer the case.”

The event afforded the opportunity for the inauguration of the Dunukofia legislative building where he addressed local governance.

Soludo asserted: “The local government system is working in Anambra State,” emphasizing the effectiveness of initiatives implemented under his leadership.

He concluded by urging the community to acknowledge their advancements, saying, “ I appreciate Dunukofia for the edifice—the Dunukofia legislative building.”

At the event, residents had the opportunity to express their thoughts and appreciation. Chief Walter Eziri, the President General of Ukpo, was among the speakers.

Chinenye Obika addressed the gathering on behalf of the market traders in Dunukofia, while Joseph Ime represented the beneficiaries of the One Youth, Two Skills program.

Arinze Egebe, a digital teacher, and Mr. Onyekachukwu Ezika, a parent, also contributed to the discussions, particularly regarding the impacts of free education in the area.

All speakers praised Governor Soludo for his achievements within his short stay in office, highlighting his commitment to development and the welfare of the people.
